It seems the news today will be about mandatory evacuations. There is a very strong belief in the Black community that the 17th street levee was bombed. There are several eyewitness accounts. Now I am not say if this is true or not. I am only saying what is believed in the black community and why many don't want to leave the city. They believe the government wants to destroy their homes. This is not my view. This is their view.
I cannot tell you if it is true or not. I can tell you it is the perception on the street. Maybe you can get this verified. Let's face it anything is possible with this administration. BTW the theory is water seeks its own level so if the levee is breached in the sections that have lower elevation, (poor sections) they will flood and the waters will level off before the rich areas of the city are flooded. This is what actually happened if it is a coincidence or not?
